Chicago: A City Drawn in Steel and Stone

Chicago has always felt to me like an open-air museum of architectural ideas. Louis Sullivan, Daniel Burnham, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Bertrand Goldberg, Frank Gehry, and others have all left their mark on the city, each pushing architecture in a different direction. Their buildings give Chicago its extraordinary mix of strength, grace, invention, and drama. That history is part of what keeps drawing me back with a camera. I’m less interested in simply recording these structures than in finding the lines, curves, shadows, and light that reveal the imagination behind them.

Architecture that Transforms Modern Rooms

Modern living room with a white sofa, two black armchairs, and a black marble coffee table in the center. A large black-and-white abstract art piece hangs on the wall behind the sofa. There are two side tables with lamps and decorative items, and a city skyline view outside large windows.

These black-and-white architectural prints of Chicago architecture are designed to bring structure, contrast, and quiet drama to homes, offices, showrooms, hospitality spaces, and contemporary interiors.
