I saw this great egret in a marsh near the coast of Oregon. I waited patiently for this egret to take flight but with no success. My wife, who had gone ahead, was yelling back to me to catch up. "C'mon," she said. "You've waited long enough. It's going nowhere." Just as I was starting to put my camera away, the egrets wings started moving. "It's going to start flying," I thought. I got my camera back up and just in the nick of time because it finally started flying. I panned it and voila...here's what I gog.
